Embracing a Journey of Healing: My Path to Becoming a Certified Mental Health Coach

Several weeks ago, I embarked on a transformative journey to become a Certified Mental Health Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors. Today, I am thrilled to share that I have received my certificate of completion for my first course: MHC:101 Foundations of Mental Health Coaching. As I reflect on this milestone achievement, I am reminded of the faith and trust I have in God's guidance and His plan for my life.

Trusting the Path:

While I may not know the exact destination God has in store for me, I am filled with anticipation and excitement as I wait for His goodness to unfold. My journey thus far has been a long and challenging one, marked by overcoming trauma, deep depression, suicidal ideation, PTSD, intrusive thoughts, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and fear. However, I firmly believe that these experiences were not in vain. They have shaped me into the person I am today, and I am determined to be a voice for others who are facing similar struggles.

A Celebration of Success:

Although there are still several hours of work ahead of me before I am officially certified, I want to take a moment to celebrate this significant milestone with my supporters. I believe it is essential to acknowledge our achievements and appreciate the progress we make along the way.

Your Journey Matters:

In the midst of celebrating my own accomplishments, I also want to remind each and every one of you reading this that your journey matters. It may be challenging, filled with obstacles and setbacks, but it is uniquely yours. Embrace it, learn from it, and grow through it. The struggles you face today may become the source of strength and inspiration for others tomorrow.

Finding Purpose in Helping Others:

My decision to become a Certified Mental Health Coach is deeply rooted in my desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those who are struggling. By sharing my story and providing guidance, support, and encouragement, I hope to empower others to overcome their own battles and discover their innate worth and potential. Together, we can navigate the complexities of mental health, offering a beacon of hope for those who need it most.

As I continue my journey towards becoming a fully certified Mental Health Coach, I am trusting in God's plan, and embracing the power of personal storytelling. Remember, your journey matters, and so do you!

Til next time,
