BellaRa + Co. is a mother/daughter handmade beaded bracelet business. Our business was birthed when my adult special-needs daughter’s expressed an interest in making and selling bracelets. Recognizing the educational impact a small, creative business would have on her, I decided to help make this idea a reality. Through our bracelet business she is learning essential skills such as tracking her work hours, setting and maintaining a schedule, working even when you don’t want to, setting goals, saving money and understanding concepts around how the income from sales goes toward purchasing beads, paying her, helping with marketing, and so on. BellaRa + Co. is more than a bead making business! It is a hands-on opportunity for my daughter to learn and grow in her knowledge and understanding of practical life lessons, doing what she enjoys, all while obtaining gainful employment.
