Admittedly, a mom of two I – at times  - do drop off the blog-o-sphear…but just know I’ll be back. This place is important to me, important to who I am and who God has created me to be. It’s actually through my role as a mom that God most often speaks to me and from where much of my creative life is spun. My girls keep me on my toes, in prayer, laughing, crying, energized, worn to a frazzle, and in need of an outlet! They are my “Why” behind my creative life. I’d give them the world if I could, and will work hard to use the gifts I’ve been given to do just that. Because of this, you can just expect that I will be that mom and wife who simply must “go all out!” when it comes to birthdays, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and all other major holidays…and not-so-major ones as well.

With a calendar chocked full of ideas for the coming year, everything from mother/daughter tea parties, home decorating and organizing, to simply learning to be the best mom, wife and hostess I can be, I hope you’ll join me on this journey. Needless to say, I haven’t been on here. It’s just too much work for me to try to keep up with them and this blog (and well, they do come first!). I have been able to do a little decorating though, so this has been a nice change for me. After two years (almost three…where does time go?) I’ve finally committed to decorating both of the girls’ rooms (guess I’ve accepted we’re staying here). I’m only part way through my youngest daughter’s room (pictures coming soon hopefully) but it has been fun seeing the transformation. It’s really amazing what some paint and new decor can do to makeover a little girls room! I think it is playing a huge role, too, in helping me keep my new years resolution to take more pride in my home. There’s just something about a decorated room that makes me WANT to keep it clean. The undecorated ones just suffer. Guess this means it is time for me to finish the whole house! I wonder how that fits into my husband and I’s plans to follow through with Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University? Ha! That’s a whole ‘nother blog! But, truly, it does make a difference.
